img_marunaka MARUNAKA was founded in 1934 and for over 70 years it has been producing woodworking machines, especially for surface finishing field such as "Super Surfacer", UV-Coating, Profile Wrapping Machines and Knife Grinding Machines.

We are also specialized in Lengthways Veneer Slicing System for producing fine (fancy) veneers but also for thick slats (lamellas) which obtained world-wide patents.

Our products have been exported over 40 countries.

Veneer slicer

Marunaka manufactures many models to fill your needs, including widths from 135mm to 500mm with the ability to slice from 0.30 mm to 6 mm thickness, depending on the species density.

Super surfacer

Super surfacers were developed originally for woodworking, but a lot of our super surfacers are being used for finishing of resin, plastic and other new advanced materials such as electronic materials.

Knife grinder

Marunaka’s grinders are developed mainly for grinding knives of woodworking machines, but a lot of our grinders are being used for grinding knives for paper, resin, plastic, food machinery, etc.

Flitch conveyor

The flitch conveyor system also called a merry-go-round system (MGR) is mainly used for processing more efficiently the veneer. The principle capability's is that several pieces of wood can be transformed one after the other with a continuous automation.
